Whether you just left your Botox appointment in Plano or you are planning ahead, aftercare is simple, and the first hours matter most. This guide covers what we typically ask clients to do after Botox at MD Laser Med Spa, how dosing is decided, and where to find published prices.

The first hours after Botox

Your provider gives you personalized instructions. General guidance often includes:

  • Stay upright for several hours and avoid lying face down.
  • Do not rub, massage or press on the treated areas for the rest of the day.
  • Skip strenuous exercise, saunas and hot tubs for the rest of the day.
  • Avoid facials, facial massage and other manipulative treatments for the period your provider specifies.
  • Normal facial expressions are fine. There is no need to force movement.

Planning around events, workouts and makeup

If you have a wedding, photos or a trip coming up, mention it at your consultation so we can plan your appointment date around it. Ask your provider when to restart your usual workout and skincare routine; the answer depends on the areas treated.

How Botox dosing and pricing work

Botox is $13 per unit. The ranges below are common starting points only. Your dose is determined at your consultation, and you pay only for the units used:

  • Frown lines ("11s"): commonly 20 units, ~$260
  • Forehead lines: commonly 10–20 units, $130–$260
  • Crow's feet: commonly 12–24 units, $156–$312
  • Lip flip: commonly 4–6 units, $52–$78
  • Jawline slimming: commonly 40–50 units, $520–$650
